After having the pleasure of working with this very talented lady on a number of occasions I thought it was about time that I asked her to guest blog for you guys. Natalie Boland Make up Artist is a well established and creative consultant. I have personally worked with her on a fashion shoot for the cover of an international magazine and also on a number of bridal shoots, in which we had our images published. Natalie was the lead make up artist on our vintage woodland shoot and here she shares how she created the perfect vintage wedding make up. I prepped Stacie’s skin with Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentre Stacie has normal skin so this moisturiser is perfect but if you are more on the oily side try the Hydra Mat Emulsion. Next I used Wonder Glow by Charlotte Tilbury who describes this product as Gisele Bunchen in a bottle it gives a healthy glow to the skin whilst having skincare ingredients in the product. I then used Makeup Forever HD foundation which isn't available anymore in 117, however they launched the Ultra HD foundation which I will be stocking up! I leave concealing until later incase I get any fall out from eyeshadows or I make a mistake that needs cleaning up around the eyes. Next I move onto eyes, because this look is a vintage/retro one we kept the eyeshadow very neutral, just using it for definition on the socket using a grey toned brown and a lighter ivory shade on the brow bone and on the eyelid. First I used an eye primer my favourite is Urban Decays primer potion in Eden as it evens out the lid colour. I also love MAC brûlée and concrete for a look like this. Or if you want even higher end the Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Eye Palette in the Sophisticate which can be purchased here is also amazing! I then started on the dreaded winged liner for this I used Inglot gel eyeliner, which is he blackest gel eyeliner I've ever used and Stila’s Stay all day liquid eyeliner in intense black. These can be purchasedhere . After I'd finished I curled her lashes with a Shu Uemura eyelash curler and applied a drugstore mascara as I was using false eyelashes, my favourites for most bridal looks are Ardell or Red Cherry Demi Wispies, which I also applied for this look. Cheeks were Stila Watercolor Blush in Water blossom for a blushing bride look , I then set the centre of the face with RCMA no colour powder. The lips were outlined in Pink Venus by Charlotte Tilbury and then Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipstick in Amazing Grace to finish off both available here So there you have it ladies.....how to recreate the gorgeous vintage bridal look at home with all the links your heart could desire! Have fun and let us know how you get on in the comments!
