This lovingly restored 18th century former family home provides the perfect backdrop for a more intimate wedding ceremony. Surrounded by two acres of serene walled gardens, there is no setting more romantic than Belgrave Hall. A special bridal room with a view of the stunning gardens is available on the first floor, to make those final touches before walking down the sweeping staircase and up the aisle. Dating back to 1709, the hall retains much of its traditional architectural splendour with period features and detailing. Three rooms are licensed for wedding ceremonies. Their summer marquee can accommodate up to 90 guests for a seated meal or reception and there is a catering kitchen in the stable block. A lot of people ask me about engagement shoots....What are they...Why should we have one...just to name a few of the questions. So I thought what better way to explain to you all than from the view point of a client. Below Laura explains a little about her shoot. How did you meet? How long have you been together before getting engaged? Who asked the BIG question? We met at a party but we properly got to speak at a gig In Nottingham, it took quite a bit of wooing from Jamie for me to agree to be his girlfriend but it was all worth it! 4 Years and 2 sweet children later here we are! What made you decide on booking an engagement shoot? Why did you choose Love Photography 13 Weddings? What made Us stand out? We saw the engagement shoot online at UK Brides and thought why not? It gave us some quality uninterrupted time together and enabled us to have time being close to each other which we don't get to do often, Love Photography were the closest in distance of the shortlist but the photos on Estelle's blog are amazing and really sealed the deal, we are so glad that we made that choice! What did you think before the shoot? We were both nervous as neither of us had done a photo shoot before but we were made to feel so comfortable, we both appreciated that the photos weren't fake or forced and everything felt so natural, the final product shows that completely. By the end of the shoot we were both loving it (Jamie was really in his comfort zone and maybe loving it a bit TOO much!) What did you think of the engagement shoot? Was it what you expected? What were the best and worst parts? I've got to be honest, the shoot went so much better than we could if anticipated, the only negatives were that it was cold and we were both too tall for some of the photo ideas. But you'd never know from the photos that it was a freezing January day, my absolute favourite thing was that Estelle got us laughing and never stopped the camera clicking, so there's some natural photos of the two of us that I am in love with, it shows the natural connection between us. Would you recommend having an engagement shoot? Why? We would 100% recommend an engagement shoot to any couple, we had such a fun time and are so grateful, I would recommend Love Photography 13 Weddings to any of my friends! So there you have it....Massive thanks to Laura and Jamie for allowing me to share thier engagement shoot! And for those of you looking to book your own engagement shoot please visit our website HERE As a wedding photographer I get asked alot " What is an engagement shoot and why do we need one?" In short, an engagement shoot is a time where my clients can get to know me and how I work. It gives them an opportunity to see how we would work together on their big day and it also gives them a chance to get a feel for being in front of the camera. Not only this but with all the excitement of the big day approaching it great to be able to capture the excitement to look back on! A lot of couples feel nervous about having an engagement shoot but this is the perfect opportunity to capture the love and excitement of the impending wedding. Its also a great way to get over your fear of being in front of the camera especially when its a stranger taking the pictures! My clients always remark on how fun and relaxed their engagement shoot was and I think this is clear in the images. As you can see from the following behind the scenes our amazing couple Leah and Chris, our shoots are always informal, relaxed and enjoyable...not only that but you are creating beautiful images that can them be used as save the dates or announcement cards! Bonus! Below are a few of our behind the scenes pictures accompanied by the final image! To book your own FREE engagement shoot why not get in touch!
