2016 saw even more gorgeous creations grace the catwalk than ever before.
Below are my predictions for whats going to be HOT in 2017!
Wedding dresses with capes have been emerging all over catwalks throughout 2016, ready to take aisles by storm in the year ahead.
Designers such as Justin Alexander and Paolo Sebastian unveiled stunning designs complete with capes. They’re perfect for making a statement.
Off The Shoulder
Strapless is still out there but off-the-shoulder is more prevalent this year. The straight across neckline is great for brides with a pear-shaped figure that is slightly wider at the hips.
The long line across the top of your body will give the illusion of a wider line to balance your shape. Off-the-shoulder gowns are very feminine and very flattering. If you don’t like your upper arms these new styles also have pretty sleeves.
Bows are going to be HUGE this season. Whether a small and delicate bow detail or an OTT statement bow, you need to have the bow! Seen on last years catwalk the gorgeous dress below is a fit and flare Mikado gown with shoulder strap, open back and draped bow detail.

Incredibly proud of our newest feature in Love Our Wedding Magazine!
This set was shot in the summer months at the gorgeous Bridge House Barn with Tipis from Sami Tipi. Outdoor, festival style weddings are going to be a huge trend in 2017.
Fern, ivy, geberras and moss gave an organic and earthy feel to the venue and bouquets.
The backless dress by Dona Nicole was simple and understated in keeping with the laid back and relaxed theme of the wedding.
The Rutland Cake Company created a 4 tier rough iced wedding cake which was later dressed with real ivy in keeping with the natural theme.

Such a pleasure to have our images featured in the amazing Brides Magazine!
This alternative shoot was the brainchild of Naomi Sparks Wisden owner of Lace & Pearl Bridal Boutique. After a discussion on upcoming themes Naomi expressed an interest in curating an alternative / Goth styled wedding and look at what we created!!
We wanted the shoot to be alternative. Something a little different to your white wedding. Both our bride and groom have tattoos and piecing’s and so felt they are slightly alternative themselves. We wanted to show you can be a beautiful bride no matter what your theme!
For the bouquet Pollen Floristry created used Calla lily, peony, celosia, carnation, rose, berries, twisted willow & various foliage’s. We went for a more purple and red colour scheme to add to the opulence and alternative look for the shoot.
An autumnal modern textured bridal bouquet using a blend of bright pinks and reds instead of the usual orange autumnal colours real made the brides bouquet stand out.
The dress was a traditional white princess dress with gold detailing but customized at the front to show the bold coloured petticoat.
For the hair we wanted something simple and elegant and just secured a small section up to show off the custom made headpiece.
The makeup was darker than a traditional natural wedding make up. Natalie Boland MUA created a Goth styled look by giving our bride winged eyeliner and dark lip colour.
Ladywood Estate is a gorgeous venue nestled in the heart of Leicestershire. It boasts a boat yard and stunning grounds. They also have a gorgeous 400 seat orangery should the weather not have been kind to us!
Again we went for an alternative look when it came to the styling. The cake was a black iced 4 tier decorated with red roses and skull motif created by The Rutland Cake Company. Not your regular white wedding cake. The favours were small coffins hand crafted to match the wedding cake. Home-made spooky skull cookies by Wookie Cookie finished off the alternative look.
Well what can I say about 2016?
I can start with the fact I have loved every minute! From meeting newly engaged couples right through to delivering clients products I can honestly say I am so happy and blessed to have met so many amazing people.

What alot of people dont realise is the amount of team work that goes into a styled wedding shoot. I have an amazing team of creatives who have helped to create the stunning images which have been featured in Marry Me Magazine, Love Our Wedding Magazine and Bellisima Brides this year!
Special mention to Natalie Boland Make Up artist who comes highly recommended and has travel many miles to work with us this year! Your hard work and dedication is appreciated!
Wedding venue Scalford Hall has also worked with us on numerous occasions this year and again comes highly recommended. Thier stunning grounds were the backdrop to 2 of our magazine featured sets in 2016 and we are looking forward to working with them in 2017!
2016 has truly been an awesome experience. If 2017 is half as rewarding I will be one happy lady!
I hope that all my 2016 Brides enjoy thier 1st Christmas as a MRS and have the most wonderful 2017!
